    Salon Owner+Senior Stylist+ Certified Colorist

    Blair has been with Salon Patine since 2009.  She started as an assistant and quickly fell in love with the industry and connecting with so many people. She believes in deeply customizing cuts and color alike to fit the exact needs of that client’s hair and lifestyle. Whether that means tinting, gray blending, utilizing highlights, or the natural texture and growth of the hair Blair and her ~20 years experience (and many certifications and classes) will get you to your hair goals. Since becoming owner in 2022, she has focused on mentoring her team, maintaining the high bar Salon Patine has set for over 30 years, and instilling the same industry passion she has on the next generation of stylists.

    Senior Stylist + Certified Colorist + Extensions

    Marisol is a passionate and versatile hair stylist dedicated to transforming hair. With a heart full of love for every aspect of hair styling, she has honed her craft across a wide range of specialties.

    Certified in numerous techniques and styles they reflect her commitment to professional growth and excellence in hair care. Her expertise includes a vast array of haircuts, coloring techniques from stunning highlights to balayaging. She is well-versed in applying keratin treatments and is adept at extensions, providing clients with the full spectrum of hair transformations.

    Marisol believes in not just styling hair, but in empowering her clients to walk away feeling like the best versions of themselves. Whether you are looking for a subtle change or a dramatic transformation, Marisol is excited to bring your hair vision to life.

    Danica Meek

    Senior Stylist + Certified Colorist + Associate Educator

    Stylist at Salon Patine since 2011, Danica is a haircutting enthusiast that enjoys cutting pixies, bobs, and shoulder length styles. As a Certified Redken Colorist she specializes in grey coverage and grey blending and dimensional highlighting. Danica has also begun to help mentor our salon associates passing on her keen consultation skills and her sharp precision cutting techniques .

    Susan Isais

    Senior Stylist + Certified Colorist +Associate Program Lead

    Susan joined Salon Patine in 2017 and brings both creativity and precision to every service. She enjoys working with a wide variety of styles from classic bouncy layers to short, choppy cuts. She specializes in alternative razor haircuts including shags, wolf cuts, and mullets - perfect for clients looking to express their individuality. She is Redken Color Certified, Safe Space Certified, and our Redken Salon Ambassador. Susan believes that the best haircuts are the ones that reflect your personality and unique style and she’s passionate about helping each guest feel confident and seen. Currently, she is very active behind the scenes overseeing the education of our salon associates and staying active with Redken ambassador duties.

    Shelby Gilmore

    Senior Stylist + Certified Colorist + Extensions

    *Currently on Maternity Leave*

    Shelby loves creating custom color and cuts to help each client feel like the best version of themselves. She also specializes in seamless extensions, and is certified in tape in, k-tips, and beaded wefts. Known for creating natural blondes, dimensional brunettes, and beachy effortless looks; Shelby brings an artistic eye and technical precision to every service. She is a Redken certified hair colorist and helps in our associate program as well.

    She currently is expecting a baby boy in October and plans to take her leave beginning in Sept and returning early 2027 (exact date tbd)

    Andrea has been part of the Salon Patine team since 2021 and is proud to call Santa Barbara home. She believes that great hair starts with building genuine relationships, taking the time to understand each client's lifestyle, goals, and personal style.

    As a low-maintenance hair girl herself, Andrea loves creating beautiful, wearable looks that grow out gracefully and fit seamlessly into everyday life. Her specialties include keratin treatments, precision haircuts, lived-in color, blonding, rich brunettes, updos, extensions, and special occasion styling.

    Zaira (also known as “Z”) is a Santa Barbara native and Paul Mitchel School graduate (2012). She joined Salon Patine in 2023, Zaira has already found her niche in creating stunning perms, vibrant colors, and beautiful transformations as well as being certified in Brazilian and Keratin treatments. Dedicated to making sure her clients leave with not only gorgeous but healthy hair and believes that education is key to growth and is always seeking to expand her skills. Whether you're looking to switch up your style or give your hair some TLC, Zaira loves to bring your inspiration to life!

    Independent Stylist + Certified Colorist

    Martha has 13 years of experience in the hair industry. She graduated from Paul Mitchell cosmetology school and has continued her education ever since including becoming a Redken Certified Colorist and courses with Vidal Sassoon. Martha feels incredibly fortunate to have worked with clients along California's central coast. She specializes in creating lived-in color and balayage for a low maintenance color. Connecting with clients and bringing their vision to life is what drives her passion and love for hair!

    Front Desk Manager

    Sarah is one of the friendly faces that greets you the moment you walk into our salon! A Santa Barbara local with 14 years of experience in the beauty industry, she’s been an integral part of our front desk team since joining us in 2023. With a warm and welcoming demeanor, Sarah ensures every guest feels valued from the moment they arrive. Sarah is also trained in product knowledge with multiple brands, including Redken and Pureology. Don’t hesitate to ask her for recommendations. Sarah’s got you covered!

  • Sarah Van Bourgondien

    Color Education Department Head

    Former co-owner of Salon Patine for 29 years, Sarah is an American Board certified colorist and a Redken Certified Haircolorist.  Sarah’s entire focus has been doing beautiful natural haircolor especially when it comes to grey coverage and grey blending.  She currently lives out of state but still is head of our education department and enjoys teaching a strong color foundation to our associates and staff-virtually and in person.
